2017 South East Asian Games (MAS)

The 2017 Southeast Asian Games officially known as the 29th Southeast Asian Games and commonly known as Kuala Lumpur 2017 is a Southeast Asian multi-sport event that took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 19 to 30 August 2017, with 404 events in 38 sports to be featured in the games.

This was the sixth time that Malaysia was hosting the games and its first time since 2001. Previously, it had also hosted the 1965, 1971, 1977 and 1989 editions of the games.

While Indonesia’s Christopher Benjamin Rungkat won the Singles Gold Medal, the Women’s Gold Medal was won by Thailand’s Luksika Kumkhum. In the Men’s Doubles event, Thailand’s Sonchat and Sonchai Ratiwattana prevailed, while the Women’s Doubles Gold was won by Nicha Lertpitaksinchai and Peangtarn Plipuech of Thailand.

In the Mixed Doubles event, the Gold medal was won by the Thai pair Nicha Lertpitaksinchai and  Sanchai Ratiwattana making it four medals for the Thai team.

Following were the standings of SEA nations in the Tennis event for 2017, which was held at the Jalan Duta Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from Aug 21 – 26.
